1. Sve me, O Lord, from evil minds.
Let not my path the violent find.
They stir up strife continually.
Their tongues are sharp as viper’s teeth.;
2. Guard me, O Lord, from wicked hands–
from those who have my downfall planned.
Lord, they have hid a trap for me
and dug a pit below my feet.
3. Hear me, O Lord: You are my God.
Give ear to me whene’er I call.
The Lord maintains the needy’s cause.
The wicked fall, no more to rise.
