1.We shall not live by bread alone,
but by each word that God has spoke.
E’en given stones for lack of bread,
we would hold fast– by God’s word fed.
2.If thou shalt be in sore distress,
O put ye not our god to test.
E’en though a stone strike where we step,
we would hold fast– by God’s word kept.
3.Worship the Lord. Serve God alone.
Accept ye not this world’s great throne.
Satan behind, and God before.
